Abstract
Death is considered to be sad and scary. We mourn those we have lost. However, what if there is a short period of time where they come visit us? The bon season is a short three day period in mid august where the dead are said to have come back to the earth. It is celebrated with festivals, food and family gatherings to celebrate the loved ones that are no longer with us. My goal for this research is to explore how it has been celebrated throughout the years and ways it has connected others.
